TESLA LIGHT SHOW 2025
Practical guide for participants
We’re thrilled to bring together over 1,000 electric cars for a one-of-a-kind celebration of sustainable mobility. This gathering is nonprofit, and our goal is to highlight the future of sustainable mobility while creating an unforgettable experience for everyone.
To ensure your visit goes smoothly, we’ve prepared this step-by-step guide. Please read the following instructions carefully, arrive on time, and follow our marshalls’ guidance. Your cooperation helps us run a safe and seamless event. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to share this amazing spectacle with you!
Step-by-step guide
Register your car in advance
We invite every Tesla owner to participate in the light show—everyone is welcome, and there is no entry fee. However, you must register your car beforehand.
Charge your car
We anticipate over 1,000 electric cars at the event, and on-site public charging will be very limited. The Light Show itself will only use about 0.01% of your battery, but you should arrive with enough charge to comfortably return home or travel to the nearest Supercharger. Tesla Superchargers are located in Hasselt (Corda), Heusden-Zolder, and Liège, though please note they may be busier than usual on the day of the event.
Make sure your car has the latest updates installed
As we will be running a full-length light show it is important your car is up to date. These longer light shows have been rolled out to all cars in the latest ‘Christmas’-update. Can you play the ‘Cyber Symphony’ on your light show app? Then you’re good to go!
Model S or Model X driver?
If you own a ‘legacy’ model S or X (with the vertical screen), you will not be able to play the custom show, however – we will get you a spot in the show to participate, nonetheless. Please let us know so by filling out this form.

Navigate to ‘Brustem Bedrijvenpark’
In your navigation app, please search for ‘Brustem Bedrijvenpark’ or alternatively ‘Lichtenberglaan, Sint-Truiden’. Once you approach the roundabout with Lichtenberglaan and N3, you’ll notice the prominent red Fouga Magister airplane in the center. This roundabout will be the only entrance for all participants.
Follow the red road signs ‘Tesla cars’ towards Hangar 66, where you will be welcomed by our marshalls that will guide you onward.
Please arrive between 15h and 17h
Marshalls will be ready to welcome you and guide you to the airstrip as from 15h00. The gate to the airstrip closes at 18h00. For safety reasons you cannot enter the event any later than 18h00 sharp.
Suggested arrival time is between 15:00 and 17:00, so we can place the cars in formation and have enough time for having you set up for the light show, which should start at 19:00. While you wait, you can enjoy the drivers village, where we’ve arranged some activities to keep you entertained.
Please note: due to weather conditions start time of the show may change. You will get detailed instructions on site.
Stick to the house rules
Once you enter the lineup area on the DronePort runway, please strictly follow these rules:
- Speed limit: 15 km/h
- Stay in line: No overtaking
- No littering or damaging
Safety is our top priority. Any violation of these rules may result in immediate exclusion from the event. Participating in the event and driving on the runway is at own risk.
Follow Marshalls instructions
Marshalls will guide you to a designated parking spot in the formation lineup. Please follow their instructions closely to ensure a smooth and organised parking process.
Walk to the drivers village
After parking your vehicle, please walk to the Driver’s Village along the side of the runway, avoiding movement between cars to prevent accidents. Food trucks and family entertainment will be available.
As this is a non-profit event, your support is greatly appreciated. Instead of bringing your own food or drinks, please consider purchasing refreshments on-site as this helps us cover the costs of this free event.
The event will be cashless, and all food and drinks will be served in reusable cups and plates. Please remember—don’t drink and drive.

18H00 – One person walks back to their car
When signaled by the event organizer, one person per car must return to their vehicle with full access to the vehicle (keycard or app) to schedule the lightshow in the car. Be aware you might have to walk a distance, so leave on time. Be at your car no later than 18.30!
A USB-stick will be placed behind your windshield wiper by our Marshalls. When you arrive at your car, retrieve the USB-stick. Please note: this stick contains the individual show JUST for YOUR car. Do not exchange sticks with your neighbours! If there is anything wrong with the stick: turn on your blinckers and a marshall will rush to you to help.
18H30: Start scheduling the light show for 18H40
Once back at your car at the advised time:
- Retrieve the USB stick, insert it into your car’s data port (USB-A port, typically located in the glove box) – you can do this straight away when arriving back at your car.
- Go to your ‘Toybox’ > ‘Light Show’ menu and the light show named ‘BELGIUM’ will come up.
Doesn’t it come up or can’t find the data port or right menu? Any other problems?
Put on your blinckers and a marshall will rush to you to help.
- Program the light show to start at the specified time (18H40 is the plan).
- When set, get out of your Tesla and close windows and doors (DO NOT open any windows, doors, trunk or frunk after setting the show, as this will cancel the show!). Turning your phone bluetooth off can be a good idea. If you get a call while still in range it will cancel the lightshow as well.
- All set? Stay next to your vehicle until a Marshall has verbally confirmed that your car has been correctly configured. After that you must return to the Driver’s Village.
18H40 = the starting time of the show to schedule in your car
We will announce the final scheduled start time for the show on-site and in the WhatsApp group. This is the time you should schedule in your car for the light show to start. If everything goes according to plan, this will be 18:40. However, please note that it may shift slightly based on the weather conditions for the drone show. So await further instructions on site.
18H40: Return to the drivers village ASAP
For safety reasons, the runway needs to be cleared before the actual show starts at 19H00. All participants must remain in the driver’s village during the show. Once your car has been successfully scheduled (and confirmed by a marshall), return to the drivers village as soon as possible. We have built in a 20-minute ‘prelude’ (silent show) margin to allow extra time to make your way back. This means you have a maximum of 10 minutes to configure the show, and another 20 minutes to make your way back to the drivers village. If you arrived later than most cars, be aware that the walking distance to the drivers village may be significant, so plan accordingly.
19H00: Enjoy the one-of-a-kind light show
Experience a stunning, perfectly synchronized light show celebrating electric sustainable mobility, autonomous technology and clean transportation. The main show will last about 10 minutes.
19H20: Join in on a unique experiment
After the main show, we would like to invite you all to engage in an experiment. As per the latest update light shows can also be planned from the app. That works perfectly with one or a handful of cars, but has never been done with 1.000 Teslas yet. So… We’re going to try this! At 19H20 (if according to plan) we ask everyone to schedule another light show called STARWARS in their app for start at 19H30. Again, final timings will be given to you on site. You will not have to go to your car for this so you can stay with your friends in the drivers village.
19H40: Return to your car to exit the site
After the show, you will have time to finish your drink or food, or pick up something to take away for the road, and then walk back to your car. To help prevent accidents while maneuvering between parked and moving vehicles, we will start the exit procedure around 20H00, provided we can maintain the planned schedule. So be back at your car at 20H00 the latest, ready to drive off at the direction of a marshall. Because it will be dark, we strongly recommend wearing some kind of visibility lighting.
Marshalls will guide all cars off the runway in an organised manner. Obey their instructions and move when signaled to move. Please keep in mind the house rules again to make sure the risk of accidents is minimal.
Please note: any cars not moved by 23H00 will be towed away to prepare the airstrip for the following day’s aviation activities. Towing costs will be charged to the owner of the vehicle.
