Lars Van Cleven joins the DronePort team as financial expert

DronePort is excited to announce that Lars Van Cleven is joining it's team as financial expert. His role is crucial for the financial stability and operational efficiency of DronePort, particularly as the organization seeks to transform into an innovative and sustainable platform for new aviation technologies.

Background

Lars brings a rich educational and professional background to DronePort, holding a degree in Applied Economic Sciences from KU Leuven and a postgraduate degree in Taxation. His career path has been marked by significant achievements and experiences. He has honed his skills as a Transaction Services Consultant at EY and further expanded his expertise as an M&A and Finance Consultant at Deloitte. In his most recent role, Lars has been serving as a Financial Analyst at LRM, a position he will continue to hold in tandem with his responsibilities at DronePort.

Financial support

At DronePort, Lars’s role will be multifaceted. As a part-time financial and operational supporter to the CEO, he will be instrumental in preparing for board meetings, meticulously reviewing investment projects and efficiently coordinating business processes. His role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operational flow and financial stability of DronePort as it ventures into new realms of aviation technology.

The American non-profit organization Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) announced that it had chosen Belgium’s DronePort as the global base for its commercial spin-off Aidoptation. Today, the first autonomous racing car arrived from the United States at DronePort in Sint-Truiden. This marks the official start of developing a wide range of commercial solutions based on the cutting-edge technology that aims to lead to a smarter and safer future. More specifically, Aidoptation will focus in Sint-Truiden on autonomous systems for various types of vehicles, as well as on a broad spectrum of applications, ranging from industrial automation and logistics to agriculture, entertainment, and e-sports.

ADLC secures €2M in seed funding and lands at DronePort – Brustem Airport
