Growing demand for drone detection solutions
With rapid technological advancements, drone usage across various sectors is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. However, unauthorized drone operations pose serious risks to organizations and facilities ranging from industrial enterprises to airports, prisons, data centers, and sports stadiums. Recognizing the importance and potential implications of this issue, organizations can benefit from a comprehensive drone detection solution that proactively identifies and mitigates aerial risks.
This pressing need has driven Proximus, Senhive and SkeyDrone to collaborate on bringing an advanced solution to the market. Proximus will contribute its infrastructure, enabling Senhive to install drone detection sensors at strategic locations using Proximus’ telecom masts. This approach will allow for the gradual expansion of the drone detection network’s coverage. Additionally, Proximus NXT will play a key role in commercializing the solution, while SkeyDrone will handle the software and service components.
Real-time monitoring and comprehensive risk assessment
The comprehensive solution provides real-time air traffic monitoring, displays the location of both drones and their operators, and issues alerts when intruders are detected. It also facilitates visual analyses and seamlessly integrates with existing UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) systems to distinguish between authorized and unauthorized drone flights.
“Alongside cyber threats, drones present a growing security risk to organizations, and we expect this trend to continue in the coming years. At Proximus, we aim to contribute to a sustainable and secure digital society. This partnership with Senhive and SkeyDrone aligns perfectly with that ambition, enabling us to offer our Enterprise clients comprehensive and intelligent security solutions.”
