DronePort hosts world record with 1,150 Teslas and 150 drones in a spectacular synchronized light show

DronePort proudly announces the successful staging of a record-breaking spectacle that united innovation, sustainable mobility, and creative technology on its 3,4 km runway. A total of 1,150 Tesla vehicles—including four Cybertrucks and six Juniper Model Y cars—formed a dazzling, synchronized light show, complemented by 150 drones orchestrated by Dutch Drone Shows.

Record-breaking synchronized light show

The meticulously choreographed performance combined the distinctive flashes and beams of thousands of Tesla lights with the airborne brilliance of drones forming vivid shapes against the night sky. Each participating Tesla was precisely programmed to ensure flawless synchronization, creating an immersive experience that underscored the possibilities of modern technology and the power of collective action. By drawing on expertise from xLightshows.io and the unwavering enthusiasm of Tesla owners, this event not only broke records but also showcased how innovative collaboration can inspire awe and bring communities together.

A global gathering

Enthusiasts, participants, and spectators traveled from over 15 countries to witness this unique blend of cutting-edge mobility and aerial artistry. In total, more than 4,000 people attended, including 3,200 Tesla-driving participants, 800 spectators, 300 VIP guests, and a dedicated crew of 120. While the runway glowed with the synchronized show, the broader event offered a festive atmosphere where visitors could enjoy a variety of attractions and experiences, reflecting DronePort’s dedication to fostering an environment of exploration and excitement.

A celebration of technology and innovation

In addition to the light show, attendees were treated to a display of Tesla’s latest breakthroughs, such as the Cybertruck and the Model Y Juniper. Visitors also had the chance to see Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus up close, browse Tesla merchandise, and experience test drives. The night showcased not only electric vehicles but also the wider sphere of high-tech mobility, with airplane and robotcar displays providing further points of fascination. Culinary delights from food trucks and an exclusive VIP dinner added to the festive ambience, while interactive elements like mini segways and Tesla Cyber Quads rounded out an evening that celebrated the union of imagination and engineering.

Gratitude and collaboration

DronePort extends its gratitued to Electrify Europe, Tesla Belgium, Tesla Owners Belgium, Tesla Owners Netherlands, xLightshows.io, Dutch Drone Shows, and the many other supporters and sponsors who embraced the vision of an extraordinary fusion of innovation, sustainability, and creative expression. Their teamwork and dedication made it possible to illuminate the skies of Sint-Truiden with a display that will inspire further advances in electric vehicles, drone technology, and autonomous mobility.
