DronePort joins Electric Flying Connection (EFC) as first Belgian Member

DronePort and the Electric Flying Connection (EFC) are pleased to announce their new partnership, with DronePort becoming the first Belgian member of the EFC. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing electric flight technology and sustainable aviation practices.

Living lab for carbon free Advanced and Urban Air Mobility

DronePort, a 30-hectare industry park for innovative aviation companies, provides a unique platform for businesses and testing grounds within the aerospace and drone industries. The living lab for carbon free, automated and autonomous Urban and Advanced (Air) Mobility offers state-of-the-art test facilities with segregated airspace, enabling companies to test, demonstrate and continuously operate new applications. Managed by Limburg Regional Airport in collaboration with the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA), DronePort ensures safe operations with specialized testing grounds for emerging aerial technologies.

By joining the EFC, DronePort Sint Truiden aligns itself with over 50 members representing a wide array of companies in the electric flight ecosystem. This includes airlines, manufacturers of electric and hybrid-electrid aircraft and components, flight academies, organizations developing recharging infrastructure, and airports. The EFC’s primary objective is to forge connections among key players in the value chain, advancing the sustainability of air transport.
