Demonstration(s) of the Helicus’ Automated Drone Airport program

In short

A series of exclusive B2B presentation, demonstration and brainstorming sessions on the Helicus Automated Drone Cargo Port - a groundbreaking solution in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) that bridges the gap between automated air and ground logistics.

Presenting the missing link to revolutionize automated drone cargo logistics

This series of demonstrations, in the first half of October at DronePort in Sint-Truiden, offers a unique opportunity to explore the future of the extended automated and digital logistics chain. We will focus on your industry, f.e. cargo, pharmaceuticals, urban mobility and manufacturing. You will discover the importance of an open and modular supply chain that integrates drone-based logistics.  As a valued participant, you will discover the opportunities to integrate your own logistics processes. This B2B closed workshop precedes the official installation of the system on the roof of a Flemish hospital later this year.

The potential of drone technology for urban logistics

UAS technology offers a revolutionary solution to urban logistics challenges like traffic congestion, pollution and rising manpower costs. By moving freight to the skies, UAS systems deliver faster, more adaptable, and scalable transport options, enhancing urban efficiency and sustainability. However, while drones can autonomously fly between points, the process remains partially manual if cargo loading and unloading require human intervention. This incomplete automation still demands manpower, limiting the full potential for cost savings and efficiency.

Automating the entire cargo transport chain

Helicus’ Drone Cargo Port offers a ground automation platform for cargo handling that has an open modular architecture, eliminating the need for manual intervention. DronePort supports this technology because it automates loading and unloading cargo from drones. Later this year, the automated drone airport will be installed on a Belgian hospital, where it will integrate with pneumatic systems to transfer samples that arrived by drone directly to labs without human intervention. This will be an international premiere.

Although initially focused on medical deliveries, this adaptable technology will be scaled for various industries. By automating the entire cargo transport chain, it ensures efficiency and reliability, paving the way for broader adoption of urban air mobility for cargo transport.

Demonstrations at DronePort in Sint-Truiden

From mid-September to mid-October, Helicus’ Drone Cargo Port will be tested and on display at DronePort in Sint-Truiden. We will host a series of limited B2B events where professionals and logistic companies can witness the system’s potential firsthand. We invite you to join the session that fits best your activities or interests. To foster meaningful discussions in small groups, spots are very limited, so be sure to reserve your place now.
