Practical information

Imporant notice

Although the media reported food trucks and entertainment, these will only be available in the drivers village, which is reserved for Tesla Light Show participants and crew due to safety measures. To ensure everyone can still watch the show, we have arranged a public viewing area on the military domain on the other side of the runway, in collaboration with the Belgian military. However, please note that no facilities or amenities will be provided in this area for general spectators. You are welcome to stand by your car to watch the show and then leave the premises afterward.

Timing

  • 18h00: Opening of the gate to the free public view area
  • 19h00: Tesla & Drone Light Show
  • 19h30: Secondary Tesla light show
  • 19h40: End of show, please leave the public viewing area
  • 20h30: Gate closes

Please note that the public viewing area gate will not open before 18h00. We kindly request you avoid arriving early to help prevent traffic congestion.

Getting there

Please don’t navigate to DronePort but navigate to ‘Oude Borgwormseweg 10, 3800 Sint-Truiden‘ instead, following the green road signs ‘PUBLIC’ (see road map below). You will not be able to access the Lichtenberglaan as a spectator, instead you will be guided towards the other side of the terrain via Luikersteenweg and Borgwormsesteenweg.

Military domain

You will be on a military base and must follow these specific rules

  • Do not walk or drive on the grass; stay on the tarmac near your vehicle at all times.
  • Please take all waste with you—do not litter.
  • Follow the parking stewards’ instructions.
  • Keep your car lights turned off during the light show.
  • You must leave the premises by 20:30.
