DronePort Cuisine welcomes new Horeca Manager and chef Giel Kreemers

DronePort Cuisine is set to embark on an exciting new chapter. As of March 1st, 2024, Giel Kreemes takes over as Horeca Manager and head chef, bringing with him a rich blend of passion, experience and innovative culinary skills.

From waiter to gastronome

Giel Kreemers’ journey in the world of gastronomy began modestly as a waiter. However, it wasn’t long before his talent and passion for cooking saw him transition to the heart of the kitchen. Over the past 15 years, Kreemers has honed his craft through extensive experience in both restaurant and catering environments, developing a culinary style that is both familiar and refreshingly unique.

Balancing his professional aspirations with his personal life, Kreemers has successfully merged his love for the culinary arts with his role as a father to three boys – Victor, Emiel, and Arthur – and as a partner to his girlfriend. This personal touch adds depth and authenticity to his culinary creations.

A philosophy of honest cooking

Kreemers is known for his commitment to using honest, high-quality ingredients, a principle that is evident in every dish he creates. His style is characterized by recognizable flavors but always with an unexpected twist, a signature that has become synonymous with his name. Additionally, his skill with the Ofyr – an outdoor cooking instrument – adds a unique dimension to his culinary repertoire.

Prior to joining DronePort Cuisine, Kreemers has built an impressive portfolio with stints at notable establishments like De Barrier, De Tafelaer and Global Cuisine, as well as his contributions to the C-Groep. These experiences have not only refined his skills but have also prepared him for the challenges of heading an ambitious kitchen like DronePort Cuisine.

A new beginning and fond farewell

Kreemers officially begins his tenure on Friday, March 1st, 2024. It’s important to note that DronePort Cuisine will be closed from February 27th to February 29th for the transition. This changeover also marks the departure of the beloved current head chef, Nazzareno Evangelisti. The DronePort team extends heartfelt gratitude to Evangelisti for his unwavering dedication and exceptional service over the past five years. As he moves on to new challenges, the entire team wishes him immense success in his future endeavors.

Giel Kreemers’ appointment as the new head chef at DronePort Cuisine is not just a change in personnel; it’s the beginning of a new culinary era. With his passion, expertise and innovative approach to cooking, Kreemers is poised to lead DronePort Cuisine into a future filled with exquisite flavors and memorable dining experiences.
