Flanders Investment & Trade visits DronePort to discuss a promising collaboration

This week, DronePort welcomed Michel Hofman and Piet Demunter from Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT). The visit marked a significant step towards enhancing the collaboration between DronePort and FIT, focusing on attracting global companies to DronePort's innovative ecosystem and supporting local companies in expanding their export capabilities.

Michel Hofman and Piet Demunter were given a comprehensive presentation by Ward Decaluwe, CEO of DronePort. The presentation highlighted DronePort’s cutting-edge facilities and its role as a Living Lab for Advanced Air Mobility and Autonomous Systems. The discussions also explored potential strategies for attracting international businesses and supporting existing companies in exporting their products and services.

Hofman and Demunter expressed their gratitude for the presentation and the opportunity for exchange, noting their eagerness to support DronePort in attracting global companies to its innovative ecosystem. They also emphasized their commitment to helping the companies already present at DronePort to export their products and services. “We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) to develop DronePort as a Living Lab for Advanced Air Mobility and Autonomous Systems,” responded Ward Decaluwe.
