Hangar Flying: Insurance for small aircraft

Description

We count on the (financial) assistance of insurance in harmful situations. But which insurance do you need as a minimum? What additional coverages do they offer? What is useful and what is not? To answer these many questions, BPA invited some experts in aviation insurance.

Program

As soon as you get on public roads with your car, civil liability insurance is a requirement. We all pay for something you hope never to need. It is no different in aviation. Unfortunately, very recently there were 2 fatalities in a plane crash at Spa airport. Fortunately, things often end less dramatically. We count on the (financial) assistance of insurance in such a situation. But which insurance do you need as a minimum? What additional coverages do they offer? What is useful and what is not?

To answer these many questions, we invited some experts in aviation insurance. Hilde Van Reybroeck and Carl Peremans of Gallangher Aerospace, world leaders in insurance, risk management and consultancy, offer a range of aviation insurance such as hull, liability, loss of license, personal accident insurance, etc.
Stijn Keppens and Nicolas Vuylsteke of Axis Capital. They are globally active in insurance and reinsurance products. Axis Capital focuses mainly on specialized insurance products, including property and casualty, professional, marine, energy and aviation insurance. Currently serving the European market from several locations, including Brussels, Axis Capital is building on the experience of Aviabel, which previously operated as an aviation insurer in Belgium since the year 1935.

To maximize your expectations, the speakers have asked me to pass on as many specific questions as possible especially. So don’t hesitate to share your questions when confirming your attendance.
